You Crazy Bird

Dear Blessed One,

Sometimes we do things, speak words, or think things that do not feel good in our being. That is because it's out of alignment with our true essence. However, we can only operate at the level of consciousness that we are at in any given moment. Whatever movement that takes place in every given moment is an opportunity to grow, expand, evolve. Guilt, remorse or internally chastising self is not beneficial to anyone.

When there is enough consciousness online, we internally acknowledge the error (without self-abuse) and then take responsibility for it by speaking about it and apologizing for the misstep.

It's all perfectly designed for our next evolutionary leap in consciousness. Putting the stick down, whether directed at self or other, and taking responsibility for what is manifesting creates an opening for either resolution or acceptance.

Resolution comes from stillness. It is a gentle guidance that comes through us, not a thought that comes from the mind (shoulds, have-tos, conditioning, etc.). Acceptance (or allowing whatever is to just be what it is) releases the tension around a situation creating space for true clarity.

It is all energy, even thoughts are embedded with the power of creation. Our thoughts are seeds planted in the soil of consciousness and as they are showered with attention, they grow. We see with clarity what we are creating with our actions and energy or we continue as a victim of circumstances until clarity arises through cause and effect.

Cause and effect is science. We are not being punished for our actions; we are learning what actions create what reactions. Getting curious in each challenge and exploring it with detachment can bring in a higher perspective which may then be applied to the experience.

Pause, breathe, examine, and feel into whatever is happening. Watch what arises as you give space to the situation while seeing from a higher perspective.

For two days I watched a bird flying into the mirrors and the windows of my RV, vigorously pecking and pecking! A friend at home was experiencing a similar phenomenon at her house so I looked it up. Some birds are territorial, especially during nesting season, and the reflections in windows can be seen as an intruder or a threat.

During the next pecking attack, I spoke to it, "You crazy bird, you are fighting with yourself!"

What a great metaphor to remember when resisting, struggling, or fighting with Life. Whisper a reminder to the heart, "You crazy bird, you are fighting with yourself."

Much Love and Blessings to You!
